Leadership, Health, and Heritage: Your Guide to an Action-Packed February at Davebrook

Happy New Month, Davebrook Family!

We are thrilled to step into February 2026 with you. As we open this new chapter, our prayer for every family remains simple yet powerful: may you experience an all-round increase in every area of your lives.

This month, we are moving beyond standard academics to focus on leadership, physical wellness, and cultural pride. Here is how we plan to make every week count.

Week 1: Fostering Leadership & Partnership

We launch the month by empowering our students and strengthening our bond with you, our parents.

  • Wednesday, Feb 4: Inauguration of Student Ministers. We will officially swear in our new student leadership team, handing them the mantle of responsibility to lead their peers with integrity.
  • Friday, Feb 6: PLIP (Parents Learning Integration Programme). We invite parents to join us for this vital integration session, where we align our home and school strategies for your child’s success.

Week 2: Celebrating Health & Love

As we settle into the month, we turn our focus to physical health and the power of kindness.

  • Feb 9 – 13: Water Week (Health Week) & 2nd CA Test. We will emphasize the importance of hydration and hygiene while students tackle their second Continuous Assessment tests.
  • Friday, Feb 13: Celebration of Love (Valentine). We will teach our students the true meaning of love—kindness, sharing, and community spirit—in a special celebration.

Week 3: Feedback & Rest

After intense learning, we pause to review progress and recharge.

  • Tuesday, Feb 17: Open Day (Academic Review). This is your opportunity to review your child’s academic standing and discuss strategies for improvement with their teachers.
  • Thu, Feb 19 – Fri, Feb 20: Mid-Term Break. The school closes for a brief recess, allowing students to rest and return refreshed for the second half of the term.

Week 4: Honoring Our Heritage

We end the month with color, dance, and tradition.

  • Friday, Feb 27: Cultural Day Celebration. We will celebrate the rich tapestry of our Nigerian heritage. Students will showcase traditional attire, food, and performances that honor our roots.

Let’s make this a productive and memorable month together!
