CSP Omosetemi Agbede-Zuokumor, DPO of Ugborikoko Division and driver of the Police Community Safety Advocacy (POCOSAAD), recently exposed deeply troubling trends where students utilize high-end smartphones to orchestrate sophisticated scams and circulate explicit materials within school environments.
During her startling address, CSP Omosetemi recounted incidents where seized devices revealed students controlling multiple foreign phone numbers to extort unsuspecting victims globally. More alarmingly, these devices contained evidence of students exploiting their classmates through the sale of inappropriate videos. The senior police officer firmly criticized parents who inadvertently fund these criminal activities by purchasing expensive devices without implementing proper digital oversight. She mandated strict disciplinary measures, requiring offending students to process formal apologies through their schools before device retrieval.
