World Teachers’ Day: Davebrook Schools Honours Veteran Staff

MAKOGI, OGUN STATE — In a vibrant display of gratitude and professional camaraderie, Davebrook Schools & College recently rolled out the red carpet to celebrate World Teachers’ Day, honoring the dedicated educators and support staff who drive academic distinction. The memorable event, held away from routine classroom burdens, provided a well-deserved atmosphere for staff to unwind and reflect on their profound impact.

A standout moment of the celebration was the special recognition given to Mr. Ajayi Kehinde, the institution’s longest-serving staff member. Having demonstrated unwavering dedication as a school driver for a decade and seamlessly transitioning into his current role as a security guard, Mr. Kehinde is proudly heading into his eleventh year of service this coming January. Management also deeply acknowledged the remarkable six-year impact of Mr. Wariri and Mr. Okorie, alongside the invaluable contributions of all existing personnel and newly recruited colleagues.

Upholding the Pillars of Excellence in Makogi

Rooted firmly in its core values of Social, Moral, and Academic Excellence, Davebrook Schools & College continues to project a definitive position on teacher empowerment and holistic student development. Speaking during the gathering, Academic Strategist Mrs. Adesida emphasized that true educators who faithfully impart knowledge are bound by higher rewards that manifest actively right here on earth.

The celebration was further brightened by the school’s wonderful students, who came out in full force to cheer on their teachers, engage in lighthearted mimicry, and participate in interactive roundtable discussions. As Davebrook remains steadfast in shaping the minds of the future within Makogi, the institution continues to advocate for a Nigeria where teachers are overwhelmingly recognized as the foundational pillars of every noble profession.
