The Mandate of Service: Davebrook Charges New Student Ministers to be the “Face of Excellence”

Today, the Davebrook Schools Hall witnessed more than a ceremony; it witnessed the commissioning of a new generation of leaders. As the 2026 Student Cabinet took their oaths, the atmosphere shifted from celebration to deep responsibility, defined by a call to loyalty, discipline, and service.

The event, anchored by the swearing-in administered by our legal representative Ms. Ijeoma Blessing, saw the decoration of nine outstanding students who have been entrusted with the school’s image.

The Presidential Promise: A Trinity of Excellence

In his inaugural address, the newly sworn-in President, Kenneth Dunamis Chukwuka, wasted no time in setting a clear vision for his tenure. He moved the audience with a pledge centered on collaboration and holistic growth.

“My goal is to collaborate with the school management, co-ministers and pupils of Davebrook Schools to ensure you witness a leadership of excellence focusing on three fundamental prism of the school: moral, academic and social excellence.”President Kenneth Dunamis

The Head of School’s Charge: “You Are the Face of Davebrook”

Mr. Okorie Chukwuebuka, the Head of School, delivered a stern and inspiring charge to the new cabinet. He reminded them that their position is not merely a privilege, but a burden of representation.

“To our dear ministers, your loyalty lies with Davebrook Schools. Remember the oath you took today. Obey the school rules, regulations, and code of conduct at all times. You must always display attitudes that reflect excellence, because as leaders of the school, you are the face of the institution. Your behaviour tells the story of what the school represents. Therefore, be warned and conduct yourselves with the highest standard of discipline at all times.”Mr. Okorie Chukwuebuka

A Journey from Cradle to Leadership

The Academic Strategist, Mrs. Adesida, provided a touching context to the day’s events. She highlighted the school’s long-term commitment to these children, many of whom have grown within the Davebrook walls.

“You entrusted us with your children, some from as young as one year old. Today, we have nurtured them not only in academics but also in character and leadership skills. This occasion marks the beginning of their leadership journey, which by God’s grace will grow into service to our nation in the future. Amen.”

She further clarified the true definition of power for the young leaders, warning against the misuse of authority:

“Leadership does not mean being rude to parents, school authorities, or fellow pupils. It is a call to serve. Do not deviate from the training and discipline you have received. Dear parents, let us continue to work hand in hand with the school to guide our children on the path of responsible and respectful leadership, now and in the future.”Mrs. Adesida
